Shub_TravelQuote
Searching for some inspirational themes for 2014, I came across this wonderful travel related quote. It stuck a chord & I wanted to share it with you. An old picture captured at dusk at the Taj came in handy in sharing this message.

Beautiful Banasura

It was a long anticipated family vacation. We decided to drive down to Wayanad, a destination that had figured in many previous plans, but had never got the final vote. The charming looking Banasura Hill Resort was the chosen pit stop. My excitement was heightened by a new gadget – Canon 6D. Some research about architectural & landscape photography was also squeezed in. The rarely used semi-professional tripod (gifted by colleagues) was dusted & packed. I was all set for the 3 day photographic treat.

It was hectic times on the work front in the days leading up to the vacation. It was a big relief to finally get the wheels rolling towards Wayanad. A few KMS into the highway, I realized that the camera was left behind!

The iPhone was all I had.

Banasura Sagar DamThe dam area (a short drive away from the resort) offers some expansive views. Boat rides & big swings in the adjoining park offer some activity time. This is a pretty popular spot amongst the locals as well so plan accordingly.

Like the saying goes, the best camera is the one that is with you.
